Description
Potassium is one of our electrolyte (minerals) that serve the human body by way of fighting off the damaging effects of sodium. It is a neutralizer of sodium. Often times we mistake high blood pressure as being caused by too much processed salt (sodium). This is a big mistake. But it's that we don't have the proper stores of potassium to be able to balance out all of the processed table salt that we consume. Potassium also plays a vital role in the muscle and nerve function. When people are plagued with cramps (aka Charlie horses) they are encouraged to add more potassium to their nutritional lifestyle (as potassium intake will stabilize the situation).
